I love temple square. Like, a LOT. It really is one of my favorite places on earth. I've been blessed enough to go a few times the past month. First, my cute friend Alyssa got married to her beau FOREVER. I don't know if you know, but that's kind of a long time. They were stinking cute.
On Sunday I went to the Christmas Devotional with my friend Nater. We've had sort of a tradition of going over the past few years. This was year number four! Crazy cool. At Christmas time they go all out and make it the most beautiful place. I love that. I love that they put so many hours of hard work just so we can enjoy it for the few minutes or hours we're there. This time I decided to only take one picture. That way I could walk around and just enjoy the prettiness and not worry about my pictures turning out just right. Good idea if you ask me.
I thought the messages were extra good this year and so applicable. You can listen to them here.
If you're looking for something to get you more in the CHRISTmas spirit, this is a little study schedule I heard about/started last Christmas season and needless to say, it's awesome! If you want to grow closer to Christ, try studying His attributes each week. It will help your understanding to increase and your testimony to grow. Trust me, I've done it.
Ps this was a little plan a mission president came up with. Hence the mentioning of a 'companion.' But hey, if you're married, BAM there's your companion :)
pps. USE Preach My Gospel! It goes over each attribute with definitions, quotes and scriptures. It is such a treasure even if you're not serving a full time mission. Hi, I'm not!
ppps. Yes, the days are last years so you'll have to adjust it a bit. And if I was you, I would start from the beginning. It's cool to start with the foundational attributes and move your way up. Again, trust me on this one.
Now, let's all get ready for Christmas. Yes? Yes!

I think I shall have to try this. This looks awesome!
I like your pictures. I'm sad we couldn't come. 10 more days of this blasted school semester and then I can have a conversation with Jaxon longer than
me: Here's your food.
Jax: Thank you.
Thanks Rachel! I appreciate your comment so much; it came at a much needed time. I am doing marginally better. Every day is a new day of healing, and I can feel myself making progress as small as it may be. Here is a beautiful talked that helped me: http://lds.org/conference/talk/display/0,5232,49-1-1032-27,00.html
How have you been doing!?
I love love love temple square too, and I especially miss it at Christmas. I love that tree you are standing in front of in that photo! Awesome.
