Last week I made it home for Christmas break. T'was quite the adventure, but alas I am home. Hooray hoorah! The day after I arrived home, Marmie, Shib and I made a festive trip to Levenworth! Now when I say this was a festive trip, I'm not kidding. Levenworth, WA has been named one of the top Christmas towns in America. Soo not kidding. It's joyful and triumphant.
Something very unique is the town's appearance. In order to have a business there, you have to support the Christmas-cutsieness-German theme. This includes all the food places, gas stations, hotels, and even post office! The 76 gas station was cooperating adorably. I love it.

The Nutcracker shop was intense! Seriously every nutcracker you could imagine. Including Frankenstein. One of my favs was Moses with the 10 commandments.

And then we saw the legit Father Christmas.
Father (scary) Christmas asked us if we'd been good before giving us an apple. Of course us children were good, but we were hesitant if mumzie would get an apple....
Don't worry, Granny got a granny.
On our way out of town we had to stop at the authentic German bakery so marmie could speak in her native tongue and so we could eat more carbs- which we didn't think was possible. Pretzels!

ps In case you didn't know, I totally got this CD for Christmas when I was 10 and listened to it every second I could until Valentines Day when my family made me stop for annoyance purposes. It still holds a special place in my heart.

I had no idea that little town existed but it looks like so much fun and now it's on my list of places to visit for sure! The Moses nutcracker is awesome. And... NSync Christmas is still one of my very favorite Christmas albums ever. I know every word and Christmas isn't complete without it:)

This is indeed joyful and triumphant. I soo wish I was there with you eating carbs and meeting scary father christmas! You look adorable. I love that headband on you. AND n'Sync is rad. It's not Christmas without them in my humble opinion.
Perfect year to go to Leavenworth!! I have always wanted to go there at Christmastime but it is usually a dangerous and snowy drive.
